Fitzdares and the West London club will work together to start a run of events based on "shared moments, history, and humour."
More than anything else, both groups wanted to stress their lineage. The Fulham School was founded in 1879, and the Fitzdares School in 1882.
Chief Executive Officer of Fitzdares, William Woodhams, said, "This partnership goes back to the 1800s, and we are thrilled to finally work with London's first football club." If you want to watch sports, the only place better than The Fitzdares Club is at the Cottage.
To mark the start of this relationship, Fitzdares will add a new dish to its Mayfair club for members only that is themed after Craven Cottage, Fulham's home ground.
Woodhams went on, "We will be adding a Craven Cottage Pie to our menu right away to give Mayfair a taste of West London royalty."
Fulham shared the same level of excitement and looked into the past of both teams. The sales director for Fulham FC, Jon Don-Carolis, said, "We are thrilled to have Fitzdares as our official betting partner in the UK."
"Our groups are proud of their history and are open to new ideas. At the same time, they strive to give their fans and audiences a closer, more personal experience."
"A partnership between the oldest bookmakers in the world and London's first football club is set to bring a lot of fun and creative projects throughout the season."
Also, Fulham's main shirt sponsor right now is the betting company W88. The two companies signed a deal earlier this year, even though the Premier League is thinking about banning shirt sponsors that are gambling companies.
However, the resignation of Boris Johnson and the following delay of a white paper on gambling reform put off any further action on a ban.

To have fun and be safe while gambling, it is important to gamble properly. Never risk more than you can afford to lose; instead, plan ahead and play within your means. To keep your head on straight and not chase your losses, take frequent breaks. Get a feel for the odds and remember that gambling is more of a pastime than a means to an end. Never gamble when under the influence of alcohol or stress, and be sure to keep track of your spending and time. Seek assistance from support groups or think about self-exclusion measures if gambling becomes harmful or stops being enjoyable.
