Before the game against Norwich on February 23, the Bitcoin Hunt will begin. People who take part will have the chance to win a Bitcoin, which has been worth between £25,000 ($34,000) and £35,000 this year. It costs £28,600 right now.

There will be more than one round of the game, and each one is meant to be different from the last. As part of this, there will be QR code hunts, social media jobs, and history quizzes about Southampton Football Club.

The live final will also be shown during the home game against Crystal Palace on April 30, 2017, and limited edition QR cards will be given out. 

In particular, people will be looking for QR codes all over the city and at the stadium during the first round. These codes will lead to a virtual microsite where people can sign up for the game. 

Round two starts on Monday, March 14, and involves solving puzzles in the way of blockchain using old Southampton shirts.  

The third round starts on April 4, Monday. This week, people who want to find a secret Bitcoin will have to answer a set of questions and keep an eye on the football club's social media pages. 

Finally, the lucky dip winner will be picked at random from all the people who made it through all three rounds.

In 2022, a Bitcoin was worth about £25,000 to £35,000. We think this is the first game of its kind and the first time a football club has given fans the chance to win one.
